Restating some of its previously released preliminary figures, Basicnet reported a net profit of €4.5 million for the 2013 financial year. The pre-tax profit grew more than fourfold to €8.4 millin from €1.8 million in 2012. Operating earnings before amortization (Ebitda) jumped by 87.5 percent to €22.8 million. After amortization and depreciation (Ebit), they surged by 133 percent to €12.2 million before a €4.5 million provision for a review of the organization of the group's subsidiaries in Italy. As previously reported, wholesale-equivalent and direct sales were stable at €435 million, but the company benefited from one-time gains of €12.9 million, mainly related to the renewal of its Kappa license in Korea.
