Bleckmann, the Supply Chain Management service (SCM) for fashion and lifestyle brands, is to further expand in Belgium with 60,000 sqm of warehouse space in three strategic locations. The distribution centers in Belsele, Herentals and Grobbendonk will support the growth of customers and additional logistics flexibility.
In Belsele, west of Antwerp, a new fulfillment center is being set up. The total operational capacity will be increased to 31,000 sqm. The site at Herentals, east of Antwerp, is a new distribution center with an 8,500 sqm operational area, set up specifically for a new customer. In Grobbendonk, the largest Bleckmann warehouse in Belgium is also being further expanded to a total operating area of 120,000 sqm. This site will also test the use of robots in logistics and other technological innovations.
The current nearly 300,000 sqm of operational area in Belgium will also soon be complemented by the operational area of Crosswoods – a brand new distribution center in Kruisem, Belgium. The expansion in Belgium comes after Bleckmann’s new fulfillment centers in the Netherlands and the U.K. in 2022.
