Footasylum, leading British retailer of branded fashion and footwear, has moved to a new and improved retail space at the Lakeside Shopping Center in England, where it previously occupied a space of around 300 sqm. The new 900-sqm space features a refreshed store concept that seeks to create a mobile-first customer experience. The location also features increased womenswear apparel offering and space in response to a rise in demand for the category, as well as customers’ access to click-and-collect lockers.

The new retail concept was successfully tested in smaller stores earlier this year. The expanded store at Lakeside has a staff of 70 people, up from 40 in the previous space at the shopping center. As part of its ongoing expansion program, Footasylum will launch a 1,800-sqm flagship on London’s Oxford Street later this month and upsize a number of existing sites, including those in Westfield Stratford City, Birmingham Bullring and Leeds White Rose, The Retail Bulletin has reported.
