Sales of Slinger Bag’s innovative tennis launcher have surpassed order forecasts in all the markets where it has been introduced so far, especially in the U.K. and Japan. The company recently signed new agreements in Switzerland, the four Scandinavia countries and Australia. It has now reported a five-year distribution agreement for New Zealand with Sporting Goods Specialists, which handles a wide portfolio of brands in racquet sports, fitness and field sports, including Prince, Tecnifibre and Adidas’ cricket line. Mike Ballardie, the chief executive of Slinger Bag, is a former CEO of of Prince. With more than 200,000 active participants, tennis is relatively popular in New Zealand, where sales of Slinger Bags are due to start in October.
