With its new training format – “expert running consultancy,” a special training program for the sales staff of its running specialty stores and in the running section of generalist stores – the running division of the German Sport 2000 buying group seeks to instill a deeper insight into biomechanics, anatomy and typical injuries as well as professional sales advisory for customers. The first of the series was run at the end of March in Düsseldorf, with 16 participants from all over Germany. Among the Sport 2000 dealers were Running Experts, Absolute Run partners and RunClub participants (generalists). Trainers for the two days were Currex, the physiotherapist Christoph Baltzleysports scientist Sebastian Köpper and Udo Kithier, a freelance sales trainer. According to Sport 2000, a new running sales training workshop is planned for this fall.
