Sprinter has opened a 532-sqm store in Tilburg and will soon open a 1,000-sqm store in The Hague, raising its Dutch total to six. Both will have Player Service, in which sports teams can have their name and logo screen-printed on apparel.
The Spanish retailer operates in its home country through the Iberian Sports Retail Group (ISRG), in which JD Sports and Sonae hold stakes. Late last year, it opened its 203rd store in Spain.
Sprinter has relocated one of its stores in Galicia to Marineda City mall and expanded the area to nearly 1,000 sqm – part of a nationwide rollout targeting 240 stores.
Next year should be even more expansive, with 20 openings planned
Overall revenue growth could not overcome one-off impairments.
