U.S. performance apparel brand Vuori, founded in 2015, announced plans to expand into three new Asian markets following this year’s successful entry into Australia and other international markets. According to Retail In Asia, the activewear brand plans to open dedicated e-commerce regions in Hong Kong and Singapore with the brand’s full collection offering for men and women. Meanwhile, a targeted assortment tailored to the Chinese consumer will be available exclusively through Tmall, China’s most popular DTC website.
The move into Asia is part of Vuori’s larger international ambitions. In early 2022, Vuori opened its first international stores in France, the U.K., Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia and Canada after SoftBank Vision Fund 2 invested $400 million in the brand in 2021, valuing it at $4 billion. Next year, the brand plans to gain a foothold in Japan and Korea through a partnership. By 2026, the brand plans to operate 100 stores in the U.S. and hire 100 additional employees at its California headquarters by the end of 2022.
