Nike is opening an 800-sqm store at the Aura building at Francesc Macià Plaza in Barcelona, Spain, according to Palco23 and Expansión. The building was home to El Corte Inglés until 2021. That retailer’s grocery store is still operating on the premises. This is Nike’s second-biggest store in the city, after the 2,000-sqm store near Gran Vía. It also has stores at the L’illa and La Maquinista shopping centers.

In May, Nike announced plans to convert the former headquarters of BBVA bank, on Coso de Zaragoza Street, into another big store with an upper floor of 1,376 sqm, a lower floor of 576 sqm and a grand opening possibly by year’s end.
