Patagonia has unveiled its expanded retail footprint in Hale‘iwa, Hawaii, with the opening of a new flagship store and a dedicated surf shop. Located at 66-252 Kamehameha Highway, the flagship store opened on Nov. 7, 2024, with a traditional community blessing. Patagonia’s original Hale‘iwa location, established in 1993, has been repurposed as a surf shop to cater specifically to surfers’ needs.

The Hale‘iwa Surf Shop joins an exclusive group of Patagonia Surf Shops worldwide, offering a curated selection of Fletcher Chouinard Designs (FCD) surfboards, Yulex Lite wetsuits and specialized swimwear. The shop also provides wetsuit repairs, PSI vest servicing and integration training, supporting surfers preparing for events like the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational.

The opening festivities welcomed Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, Fletcher Chouinard, surfing legend Gerry Lopez and other notable ambassadors. Bremmen Schmeltz, Patagonia Surf Category Manager, emphasized the shop’s role as a hub for the North Shore community, aligning with the brand’s commitment to innovation and safety in water sports.
