Unisport, an e-tailer for soccer equipment with a solid social media presence, has opened its first physical store in Germany at Neuhauser Straße 5 in Munich’s city center. Unisport has been operating a successful e-commerce platform in Germany since 2016.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our German customers a brand new soccer experience in the heart of Munich,” said Michael Burk, CEO of Unisport. “Our vision has always been to make soccer dreams come true, and there is no better place to open our first flagship store in Germany than Munich, where soccer dreams will come true again this summer.
The opening on June 14, 2024, coincided with the start of the Uefa Euro 2024. After the tournament, the store will be redesigned for the “Back to Club” season and will expand its selection of soccer jerseys from top clubs as well as the range of soccer boots.
“We have found the perfect location in Munich and I am personally very happy with the location,” said Burk. “Our goal is to create a place where soccer fans can immerse themselves in the sport, whether it’s shopping for gear or attending our exclusive in-store events.”
Unisport was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1995 and has expanded its online presence in several European countries. The company operates flagship stores in Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and now also in Munich. Unisport is also a global media channel and creates content for over 8 million followers on social media. The retailer has reached over 1 billion YouTube views and operates one of the world’s most extensive loyalty programs for soccer fans, with 1.3 million members.
