Tactics has announced its entry into the Japanese market. The US-based retailer, specializing in skateboarding and snowboarding gear, plans to open its first Japanese brick-and-mortar store at the Sapporo Factory, a large shopping and entertainment destination in the heart of Sapporo. The store is scheduled for opening on Nov. 1, 2024, following the launch of the e-commerce site in October.

Both the physical store and the e-commerce site will offer a wide range of skateboarding and snowboarding hardgoods, alongside apparel, footwear and accessories from renowned brands. Tactics announced that it will also introduce its private label brand, Tactics Original Goods, to the Japanese market for the first time.

The Sapporo Factory location was chosen to serve more than just a retail function, explained the retailer. Tactics aspires to create a hub for the local skateboarding and snowboarding community, with the store providing a welcoming environment for customers to connect and share their passion.

Founded in 1999, Tactics is based in Oregon. The retailer offers a comprehensive range of skateboarding and snowboarding products at www.tactics.com as well as its four brick-and-mortar locations in Oregon and Washington.
