Rip Curl has announced the nomination of Yann Tschumi as its new European sales director. Based at the company's European head office at Hossegor, France, he basically takes the place of José Luis Sanz, a Spaniard recently appointed as country manager of Kappa in the Iberian Peninsula by the French-based licensee of the Italian brand. Tschumi worked for Rip Curl Europe already for five years, starting in 1998, after a job at Lee Cooper. He left in 2002 to act as French sales manager of Oakley for four years, before joining VF Corporation, where he became country manager for Vans and Reef in France and Spain.
