Rip Curl, part of KMD Brands, is planning to expand its retail presence in Spain in partnership with the El Corte Inglés department stores, according to Modaes. Spain is Rip Curl’s second European market after France.
The brand currently has three stores in Spain, where it also sells its products at more than a dozen points of sale in department stores, multi-brand stores and via its own website. According to the report, Rip Curl’s retail expansion in Spain does not involve opening more stores but will instead be achieved by expanding its presence in El Corte Inglés department stores.
Rip Curl Spain, headquartered in Zarautz and with a staff of 40, has been led since November 2022 by Íñigo Iraola, who previously served for 35 years as head of the marketing department.
