Robert Ferko will step down as chief executive of Elan at the end of this month. He will be replaced on an interim basis by the only other member of the executive board of the Slovenian ski and snowboard company, Andreja Kosir, who has been its finance director since 2008. Ferko was accused last month of mismanaging company funds. He was arrested by the police for a few hours, but he was soon released as no significant evidence was found in his office to prove the allegations. Reportedly, the investigation is still going on, however. A former executive of Delta, the large Serbian conglomerate, and of Droga Kolinska, a Slovenian food company, Ferko was appointed CEO of Elan at the beginning of 2009 after Slovenian state-controlled investment funds and insurance companies raised their stakes in Elan.
