Rome may be the next spot for a new series of European Havaianas flagship stores, like the 120-square-meter location that was opened in Barcelona in July. They are intended to offer a wider range of products from 2017 on, including beachwear, than the traditional Havaianas outlets, which focus on rubber sandals. It's part of a program of increased investments on product and marketing for the international expansion of brand following the acquisition of its parent company, Alpargatas, by J&F Investimentos, which will own a majority of its voting shares.
