Runtastic, the mobile fitness company owned by Adidas, has announced that its co-founder and chief executive, Florian Gschwandtner, will withdraw from operational management and leave the company, effective Dec. 31, 2018. He has been with the start-up for nearly ten years. Alfred Luger and Christian Kaar, respectively chief financial officer and chief technology officer, both co-founders and managing directors, will take over in the interim. Runtastic was founded in 2009. The company, headquartered in Pasching, Austria, was taken over by Adidas in August 2015. Luger and Kaar will report to Scott Zalaznik, Adidas' senior vice-president of digital.
