Sales and profits tumble at Asics, before a predicted upturn

Sizeable sales decreases in the Americas as well as Europe and Japan pushed the turnover of the Asics group down by 9.4 percent in constant currencies for the first quarter, and investments in retailing dragged the Japanese company's income down for the three months.
