Sales continue to be sluggish for the sporting goods industry in Sweden. Retailers' sales of sporting goods in country fell by 7 percent during the month of March as compared to the same month of last year, contributing to a 2.8 percent drop for the first quarter of 2013. Cold temperatures are likely to be blamed. The chill that hung over the country during the month of March generated little interest for the spring collections. Closely related industries like footwear and clothing were also affected by the persistent cold.
