Salewa is placing some of its foreign sales subsidiaries at the service of complementary brands. It has struck an agreement with another family-owned Italian company, Briko, to represent it in the markets of Austria, France and Poland. Briko, which is now 25 years old, has developed some innovative sports accessories lately, including sunglasses, snow goggles and snow and cycling helmets. It also markets its own lines of clothing for snow sports and cycling. Salewa belongs to the large family-owned Oberalp group, which also owns Dynafit and is a distributor of major foreign brands in Italy.
