Schanner Eishockey, distributor of Bauer, Sher-Wood and Vaughn ice hockey and roller skating products in Germany, Austria and Slovenia, had an unexpectedly bad start at the last Ispo in Munich. Between Friday and Saturday, some high-end products were stolen from its booth. When the employees came to their stand at the trade fair on Saturday morning, they noticed the theft of Sher-Wood and Bauer products that had been locked in a room at the stand. Schanner Eishockey expects sales of about €12.5 million for the financial year ending in May. Sales are up by 10 percent compared with the previous year. The Bauer brand represents 60 percent of the company's total sales. Marc Meier, long-time sales manager of the company, is the new boss at Schanner Eishockey since last May, Paul Schanner, co-founder of Schanner Eishockey, is now a consultant for the company.
