Shimano Europe Holding will start a new company to represent Shimano in Turkey, for both bike and fishing products, from Jan. 1, 2014. Shimano Menat, the name of the new subsidiary, will be based in Istanbul. Cooperation will continue in the country with two long-standing partners of the company: Metin Cengiz, the owner of Ebsat, official distributor of Shimano bike products, and Gökhan Yurdusev, owner of Okanus Marine, for the fishing portfolio.
