Shimano reports a net profit of 16.37 billion yen (€123m-$148m) for 2005, down from 19.41 billion yen in the previous year. Total revenues declined to 167.9 billion yen (€1,198m-$1,424m) from 169.2 billion yen, mainly due to a drop in the bicycle sector to 125 billion yen (€892m-$1,060m) from 129 billion yen. Sales of fishing tackle equipment instead grew to 39.8 billion yen (€284m-$337m) from 37.1 billion yen.
