The Snowsports Industry Association (SIA) has elected a new chairman of the board, Michael West, and new board members.
West was the founder in 1992 of the 686 brand of technical apparel and has co-founded or owned several other companies, among them New Balance Numeric, Maekan, Matix, Westwell and NRI Distribution. He teaches at Marshall Business School at the University of Southern California.
The new board members are Jonathan Degenhardt of Deuter/Ortovox USA, Matt Gold of Christy Sports, Melanie Hood of Scarpa North America, and Issa Sawabini of Fuse.
