Skechers has raised a total of $11 million in donations through the sale of its BOBS from Skechers collection, which has helped rescue and support over 2 million animals in need since its launch in 2015. To celebrate this milestone, the company has launched a month-long celebration that includes pet adoptions across the US, donation checks to animal shelters across the country through its partnership with U.S.-based non-profit animal welfare organization Petco Love, and the culmination of the Paws for a Cause Design Scholarship, which will feature limited edition styles designed by the winning college students.
Through Skechers’ partnerships with Petco Love and its network of more than 4,000 animal welfare organizations in the US and Canada, Woodgreen Pets Charity in the UK, and ALMA in Japan, BOBS has evolved into a cross-continental movement to save animals by donating money through the purchase of specially marked BOBS from Skechers products and organizing adoption, vaccination and check presentation events for animal welfare organizations. The philanthropic BOBS from Skechers collection is available online, in Skechers stores and in department and specialty shops.
BOBS from Skechers, the brand’s charitable footwear, apparel and accessories collection, doesn’t only donate to animal welfare. It all started in 2011 when Skechers launched a movement to support children affected by natural disasters and poverty. Since then, the company has also donated more than 16 million new pairs of shoes to children in more than 60 countries worldwide.
