Skechers has helped 583,000 pets in shelters in the U.S., including saving the lives of around 241,000 animals, through its $3 million donation to Best Friends Animal Society, an American non-profit organization dedicated to ending the killing of dogs and cats in shelters. Best Friends has also used Skechers' contributions to find permanent homes for 5,490 pets at Skechers' sponsored Super Adoption events, and to transfer more than 25,000 shelter animals to Best Friends' regional programs. In addition, Skechers' donation has helped the non-profit fund its first Pet Adoption Center in New York. Support by Skechers came from the brands' philanthropic collections Bobs for Dogs and Bobs from Skechers. Bobs for Dogs' Best Friends initiatives have included a limited edition co-branded shoe collection as well as a Bobs Roving Rescue bus, used to transfer shelter pets to their permanent homes.
