Skechers USA has sued Reebok International for infringement of a design patent (D661,884) issued to Californian company in June 2010 for its GO Walk shoe. The 31-page complaint, filed on June 18 in Los Angeles, charges that Reebok “simply copied” the trade dress of Skechers' model in its Walk Ahead RS shoe. Skechers is seeking compensatory and punitive damages as well as injunctive relief. A spokesperson for the Adidas Group said the company is reviewing the case.
