Sloane Stephens announced on Instagram and Twitter that she has teamed up with Nike, just four months after her triumph at the U.S. Open in Under Armour gear. The 24 year-old Stephens has been sponsored by Under Armour since 2010, when she was a little-known player. She turned into the leading female endorsee for Under Armour in tennis, where the brand raised its exposure three years ago through a partnership with Andy Murray. At Nike, Stephens joins a female lineup including Serena Williams. Sports Business Daily reported that Stephens' contract with Under Armour expired and that Nike outbid Under Armour, Adidas and Uniqlo.
