What was once a streetwear store in Cologne is now a global chain with nearly 700 stores around Europe and the U.S.: Snipes is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has brought its namesake Wesley Snipes on board to party. In a one-and-a-half-minute spot, the actor reviews the retailer’s development and vision with a good dose of self-irony. The company is also launching two limited anniversary capsule collections with the Karl Kani and Pegador brands.
On social media, the company said, “There have been countless memorable Snipes moments over the past few years: From legendary store openings, festivals and events to unique collaborations. A big shoutout to everyone who has been and continues to be a part of our incredible Journey, and while 25 years sounds like a lot… we are just getting started!”
Snipes founder and CEO Sven Voth also announced that there would be some developments in the management structure and the e-com business this year.
