Snowboarders represented 11 percent of the users of ski lifts in Sweden last year, down from 19 percent five years ago, according to SLAO, the Swedish association of ski lift operators. The number of people using short skis has also declined, from 5 to 3 percent, while the proportion of telemark skiers has remained constant at 1 percent. Instead, the proportion of alpine skiers has risen from 76 to 85 percent.
