Sônia Bogner, wife of Willy Bogner, passed away on May 3 at the age of 66, after a long illness. Willy Bogner was married to Sônia for 44 years. Sônia, who was born in Rio de Janeiro, started to work for Bogner as a model in 1972, and she married Willy in the same year. Sônia was responsible for Bogner's women's collection from 1979 as head of design. In 1992, a Bogner collection for women was named after her. She was also a member of the supervisory board. Willy Bogner has already lost his son, who committed suicide in 2005. After trying to sell his company, Willy Bogner handed the management of the Bogner brand to a new chief executive, Alexander Wirth, at the beginning of 2016.
