Flytec Workshop

Breaking away from the traditional model of crowded and noisy trade fairs, Fly Together by Flytec invites the sporting goods and outdoor industry to experience a new kind of collaboration — one built on meaningful exchange and real-world testing. The event, taking place October 22–24, 2025, in Annecy, France, is designed not as an exhibition, but as what Flytec calls “a living dialogue and a joint invention.”

Instead of hurried booth visits, participants will join small, focused co-creation sessions that bring together material experts, designers, and brand innovators. The goal is to turn conversation into tangible, system-optimized product solutions — from base materials to finished garments. Flytec emphasizes that Fly Together “creates an ideal space for immersive co-creation of good products,” encouraging genuine collaboration over spectacle.

This year’s edition will introduce cutting-edge technologies such as the AW0™ 2.0 membrane and PIMI polypropylene membrane, both DMF- and PFAS-free, offering lightweight durability and stability under demanding outdoor conditions. Another highlight will be the Performance Wool AirFuzz dynamic warmth system, a 3D mesh design that manages heat and moisture during movement while maintaining comfort when stationary.

Flytec’s journey with Fly Together began two years ago in Annecy and Tokyo, where the company collaborated with brands including Millet, Fusalp, Decathlon, Bosideng, Goldwin, Descente, New Balance, and and wander to explore the future of functional design. The 2025 edition expands this mission with interactive workshops, outdoor product testing, and a hiking event — allowing participants to experience innovations as true end users.

In an industry often driven by product cycles and showroom noise, Fly Together aims to slow the pace, open dialogue, and inspire better design. Interested professionals can apply to join the Annecy workshop by emailing info@flyingtextile.com.

As Flytec puts it: “This is not an exhibition. It’s a living dialogue between object and observer.”
