Speedo unveiled its new Fastskin³ racing system yesterday, where newly designed caps, goggles and swimsuits interact to reduce full body passive drag by up to 16.6 percent, and body active drag by 5.2 percent, according to the company. The new system, which complies with the new guidelines set by the International Swimming Federation (Fina) in January 2010, use a new anatomical marking system at strategic points across the three components, to show their optimal position on the body. The Fastskin³ system is available in three versions depending on the degree of performance. The higher-end models incorporate an innovative 3D Zoned Compression fabric system with a constant-seam framework.
