For the third time in a row, Sport 2000 Austria has been certified as a “Sport Leading Company,” one of the awards given by Sport Leading Certification, a company that is part of Austrian PP Sport Management GmbH, in cooperation with an institute for sports economics. Sport Leading Certification is a business network that aims to award, network and develop leading companies in sports. Sport 2000 Austria applied for the award in 2018 for the first time. In addition to the headquarters in Ohlsdorf, eight other Sport 2000 retailers were also honored as “Sport Leading Company.”
Sport 2000 Austria also supports the networking of sport and business with the Austrian Victor Sports Business Award. The award ceremony took place on Nov. 15, with a total of 17 prizes awarded for personalities and projects in the sports and leisure industry. In the ”Sports Retailer of the Year” category, long-time Sport 2000 retailer Gigasport was named the winner. Second place went to Geomix, also a Sport 2000 partner.
