According to a recent study by Medef, the leading network of entrepreneurs in France, and the Toluna-Harris Interactive Institute, 92 percent of company executives and 93 percent of employees consider that sport in the workplace is either “a good thing” or “a very good thing.” However, only 13 percent of company executives have implemented actual policies to promote sports in their company, and 76 percent are not even planning to do so in the future. Furthermore, for 60 percent of the executives surveyed, it is not the company’s role to promote physical activity among the staff. Among employees, 69 percent said that they were not attracted to the idea of participating in sports next to colleagues they were already obliged to spend time with during working hours, while 66 percent said that they did not want physical activity to negatively impact their rest time.
