Sport-Fachhandel, the German trade publication, reports that representatives of Austrian retailers, distributors and producers as well as of VSSÖ, the country's industry federation, have recently discussed the fate of the summer edition of the Austrian Ösfa trade show. Organized by Brandboxx in Salzburg, the last edition was widely considered a failure as its new July dates were regarded as being far too early. The meeting concluded that there should be another summer show scheduled for Aug. 18-20 in 2013, but it has yet to make a decision on what the show should look like. One option is to have a trade show of the usual type or, instead, a series of ordering events over a longer period of time, starting on those dates. A final decision is set to be made by mid-January. Ösfa's next winter edition will run on Feb. 26-28, 2013.
