Sport Partner reports that all Telstar Megastores are to remain open, on the back of an agreement between unnamed investors and the Dutch sports retailer's receiver. The stores will continue trading under the Telstar name but the group will work closely together with Daka Sport, another Dutch sports retailer, which has actively supported Telstar's restructuring plan. The Dutch news service writes that Daka Sport and Telstar Sports & Fashion together form the largest integrated retail chain in the Netherlands, and they are considering opening a few more stores in the next years to obtain national coverage. Daka has six stores in Rotterdam and Leidschendam, and a fast-growing online store. Telstar stores, which are mostly in the center and north of the Netherlands, should reportedly join Intersport next year, while the Citystore in Almere will no longer be run by Telstar. About 160 of the 200 former Telstar employees are to be offered new jobs.
