Sport Partner reports that Decathlon is opening two stores in the Netherlands, in Rotterdam city center and in the southern city of Breda. While the French retailer's expansion long appeared to be stuck in the Netherlands, the two openings will increase the network from four to six stores. The location in Breda was opened last week, covering about 4,200 square meters, with various sports facilities outside. Sport Partner predicts that the opening in Rotterdam should take place in the second quarter of 2016 on the Coolsingel, in a location of about 5,000 square meters on two floors. Another store is projected to open in Arnhem next year. Apart from the newly-opened Breda store, the other Decathlon stores in the Netherlands are in Amsterdam, Kerkrade, Best, Apeldoorn and Leeuwarden.
