Sports Direct International has appointed Rebecca Tylee-Birdsall as company secretary. She has been acting company secretary since May 17, 2010. Sports Direct has also named Charlie McCreevy to its board as non-executive director, in line with its strategy to expand its retail operations throughout the European Union. This former Irish minister of tourism and commerce has been a commissioner of the EU and a non-executive director of Ryanair.
