Sports Direct International has raised its stake in Debenhams, the British chain of department stores, to the equivalent of 13.38 percent, including a put option on 10.5 percent of the equity. Meanwhile, reports indicate that workers at its warehouse in Shirebrook are still waiting to receive compensation by their recruitment agency, Transline, for the fact that they were paid less than the minimum national wage between May 2012 and August 2015.
