Sports Marketing Surveys (SMS) has published a new study on international sporting participation, which is said to offer unprecedented comparative findings. The release of the report follows two years of research and the analysis of 27 sports in 21 countries on six continents. The survey of 63,000 households includes information on age, gender and socio-economic group. According to SMS, comparative findings on this scale on who is doing the different sports was not previously available in this detail. Reports can be tailored to all of the countries researched and sports by request, said SMS.
