Sympatex is poised to make a significant impact at the upcoming Performance Days event. One of the standout features of Sympatex’s presence at the event will undoubtedly be its collaboration with E.dye, a renowned leader in sustainable textile dyeing solutions.

At its apparel booth in Munich, Sympatex will unveil three new products sourced from E.dye’s innovative color system. Kim Scholze, Sympatex’s Chief Sustainability Officer, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, emphasizing the environmental benefits of solution dyeing. This revolutionary process consumes significantly less water, uses fewer chemicals, and produces fewer Co2 emissions than traditional dyeing methods.

“Solution dyeing has become a prominent topic in the textile sector, driven by multiple compelling factors. To reduce environmental impacts during production, the advent of the new dyeing process signals a promising shift for the industry at large”, Scholze said in a statement. ”In the quest for a more eco-friendly planet, solution dyeing exemplifies how technology can offer innovative solutions to meet the demand for leaving fewer traces on the planet. Therefore, we are very proud of our cooperation with E.dye”, she added.

Forged a strategic collaboration

Moreover, Sympatex’s Tokyo Fiber2Fiber Spring AS laminate will take center stage at the trend forum, where the brand will underscore its commitment to sustainability amidst growing demand for recycled materials. This innovative ”F2F yarn”, made from chemically recycled pre- and post-consumer waste, represents a significant step forward in closing the textile loop and reducing environmental impact.

Sympatex is also launching a “Sustainability Impact Program,” aimed at young outdoor industry designers. This program, set to commence during the fall 2024 Performance Days, will provide selected designers with a platform for knowledge exchange, workshops, and lectures on responsible design practices. Lisa Polk, Circularity Expert at Sympatex, highlighted the importance of empowering designers to make informed decisions and drive sustainable innovation within the value chain.

In addition to these initiatives, Sympatex has forged a strategic collaboration with DMIx, a digital platform driving sustainable product development. Carmen Keim, representing Sympatex’s Color Management, emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration in accelerating sustainable innovation processes while reducing costs and resource consumption.
