TCN, the Dutch real estate company specializing in trademarts and business centers, has become the full owner of Brandboxx Salzburg and Brandboxx Hannover. It previously shared ownership of the two centers with CVI, a private equity partner. On a surface of about 40,000 square meters, the unit in Salzburg is the central meeting point for the sports trade in Austria, with more than 400 brands displaying their wares, from Adidas to Nike, Converse, Puma and Asics. It is also the location of several fairs relevant to the sports industry, particularly the Ösfa fair. Brandboxx Hannover covers about 20,000 square meters, with brands such as Geox, Jack Wolfskin and Asics. No major changes are expected, since TCN has been managing both centers for several years. The investment fits neatly with TCN's strategy to take over or build a dozen such trade marts in Europe, which would enable it to offer more European deals to its tenants. It is already strongly established in the Dutch sports market with trade marts in Almere and Leusden, and a Home Trade Center in Nieuwegein. TCN is also the managing or leasing partner of other centers in Barcelona, Vienna and Düsseldorf, and it is eagerly eyeing the British market.
