Reebok has launched its first-ever Smart Ring and concurrently announced a global, multiyear partnership with F45 Training, marking a pivotal shift in how the brand is positioning itself at the intersection of performance wear, wearable tech, and fitness community.

Reebok launched its Smart Ring over the weekend – a fitness wearable that tracks metrics such as heart rate, HRV (heart-rate variability), SpO₂, sleep, temperature and stress – and aggregates them into a single “One Score” via the Reebok Fitness app. The launch coincides with the announcement of a global partnership with F45 Training, under which Reebok becomes the official provider for performance footwear, apparel and wearables for the studio network.
The Smart Ring is designed for 24/7 wear, with up to seven-day battery life and water resistance to 5 ATM, positioning it for both training and everyday use. In 2026, coaches at F45 studios worldwide will start wearing co-branded gear, and Reebok plans to roll out a full member collection anchored by the Nano training shoe.
Why it matters
This launch signals a strategic pivot for Reebok from being a legacy footwear and apparel brand towards a full-fledged performance tech player. In the era of “everything AI” and connected fitness, wearables offer new pathways to data, recurring revenue (via memberships or apps), and deeper engagement with the training community.
For Reebok, the partnership with F45 gives immediate access to a global studio network and aligns product, apparel, and wearables into a unified ecosystem.
Zooming out
This move reflects broader industry dynamics: sportswear brands are no longer just selling gear – they’re selling experiences, data ecosystems, and lifestyle platforms. Wearables, health tech, and studio partnerships are now the next frontier. With players such as Ōura Health Oy now valued at around US$11 billion, the smart ring market is entering a high-stakes race – and the launch of the Reebok Smart Ring underlines how sportswear brands don’t want to be left behind.
