Tecnica Group will be uniting most of its distribution operations in the Spanish market under one roof from January 2012, as it has already done in other markets. Some of its major brands - Nordica, Rollerblade, Tecnica, Blizzard and Dolomite – will be sold by BM Sportech, which was only responsible until now for the distribution of the Tecnica brand. The move should reduce costs and increase operational efficiencies.
Instead Carving Sport, which handled the distribution of Nordica, Rollerblade and Dolomite in Spain until now, will take over the distribution of Völkl and Marker from January 2012, replacing BM Sportech in this role.
This is partly related to the fact that Carving Sport is going to switch over from the ski boots of Nordica to those of Dalbello, which is working closely with Völkl now in many other countries.
Carving Sport will in fact take over the distribution of Dalbello from Gregal Sport, starting with the sales campaign for the winter 2012/13 season.
On the other hand, Gregal Sport will continue to distribute another brand in the Tecnica galaxy, Lowa.
Blizzard is not sold in Spain at the moment, as its distribution contract with Ok2Play was terminated at the end of last year. BM Sportech will begin to sell the brand in Spain with the sell-in of the 2012/13 collections.
