The acquisition of Camelbak and Jimmy Styx boosted sales and profits at Vista Outdoor in the fourth quarter ended March 31. Vista reported a 26 percent increase in total revenues to $612.3 million and a 135 percent jump in net profit to $37.3 million for the period. Organically, sales were up by 15 percent. For the entire financial year, sales increased to $2,270 million from $2,083 million, and net income nearly doubled to $147.0 million from $79.5 million. Organic sales are seen expanding by between 2 and 5 percent this year, but new acquisitions should boost the growth rate to between 6 and 8 percent. More in the next Outdoor Industry Compass.
