The Active Collective Trade Show, an event focusing on athleisure, made its debut in New York City, at the Metropolitan Pavilion, on Jan. 16-27. The event will also feature a west-coast version at Huntington Beach, California later this year. The Active Collective trade show started out as a subsection of California's swimwear Swim Collective trade show, and turned into an event in its own right for the first time in June of 2016. The show is still produced by The Swim Collective Trade Shows. In its inaugural Californian edition, the activewear trade show hosted 100 brands and vendors. The January 2017 edition in New York hosted 500 collections from 80 brands, including Johnson Performance, Champion, Desigual, Fila, Le Sportsac, Oakley, Reebok, Under Armour and others. The edition in Huntington Beach will then run at the Hyatt Regency on July 13-17.
