The Adidas Group declined to comment on a report in Marca, the Spanish newspaper, that the brand was discussing a ten-year deal worth €140 million per year with Real Madrid. Demands were predicted to escalate in the market for kit contracts with leading football teams, after Adidas agreed to pay £750 million (€974m-$1,090m) for a ten-year deal with Manchester United. The Adidas brand's current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2020.
