The Adidas Group has picked the town of Leeds to open a regional flagship Adidas store with a wide assortment of sports and fashion ranges. The outlet of just over 600 square meters opened at the Trinity shopping center in August is the first English one outside London to feature the Adidas range by Stella McCartney. Nearly half of the Adidas Originals range is exclusive to the store. Performance products will focus on football and rugby, and the store will also have a cycling range ahead of the Tour de France's start in Yorkshire next year. Adidas UK said that the store opening was part of its efforts to increase its own retail sales in the country and expand its market share. Adidas has six stores in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool, and intends to open more in all major cities in the U.K., starting with Newcastle before the festive season.
