The Advansa Thermo Cool Dynafit Dachstein Triple, which was scheduled for June 8, 2013, has been postponed to July 6, 2013 because of severe weather conditions. Organizers said that there was up to four meters of snow on the Dachstein glacier in Austria at the beginning of June, or more than during the whole winter, when it reached 3.80 meters at its highest point. The Austrian race, open to international athletes, covers three athletic disciplines including alpine biking, alpine running and ski running. The current weather conditions, with a high risk of avalanches and heavy thunderstorms, would have made it too dangerous for participants to compete.
