The Austrian-based Löffler brand of sports clothing has been awarded the state prize for innovation for its so-called “hotBOND technology,” which allows the ultrasonic welding of parts into a garment. Reflecting points can now be incorporated in these welded joints in order to provide more safety for athletes. The Austrian state prize for innovation was created 25 years ago.
